LI Pet Expo and Dog Show at Hofstra University Nov. 2007
Pet Owners and animal lovers of all ages came to see: great exhibits and demonstrations, hands on animal petting, educational programs, special attractions, pet adoptions, entertainment and great shopping values.
Many companies ranging from small establishments, local Long Island pet shops, pet publications, right up to the major manufacturers were on hand to display the latest the pet industry has to offer.
The primary purpose of the Long Island Pet Expo was to promote responsible pet ownership at a fun family event. The Long Island Pet Expo was a terrific event if you’re a pet owner or pet lover. A fun day for the whole family… I had a great time just walking around and talking to some of the locals. The pet fashion show was wonderful to watch and the crowd really seemed to enjoy it. Educational programs and demonstrations were offered throughout the weekend. The Dog Arena, Rainforest Reptile shows, birds, ferrets, pot-bellied pigs all offer entertaining and informational programs were just some of the events for the public.
Industry professionals, veterinarians, manufacturers, breeders, animal law enforcement officials and public service organizations were on hand to give valuable information for future responsible pet owners and to aid the experienced ones. If you didn’t make it out this year, you missed a great time. I’m sure next year they will have it at Hofstra University, so try to come out and bring the whole family.
