For Christmas, Give Yourself a Sheltered Dog

Do you know that every year around June and July animal shelters receive a surge of arriving dog’s. Have you ever wondered why? Well, these dogs come from homes that received a dog for Christmas and the owners either abandoned them or given them up to animal shelters. Most people who get pets for Christmas either weren’t planning on getting a pet or just weren’t involved in the section process, so they lose interest in those animals.

This year plan ahead, if you would like to give a pet to someone for Christmas, ask them first and see if they really would like one. Also, make sure the family is involved in this decision. When choosing a pet, have the family go and select one together.

Last and most importantly, go to an animal shelter to choose your new pet dog. By selecting a dog at a shelter you will be saving a pet’s life and saving a ton of money.

Happy Holiday’s
